FTTx Solutions

The Tellabs® 1150 MSAP Fiber-to-the-Node (FTTN) supports voice and broadband services to within 5,000 feet of residential and small business customers’ premises, offering speeds from 20 Mbps to 60 Mbps. Deep FTTN is a more robust variation of the standard FTTN deployment, extending fiber to within 1,500 feet of customer sites and providing speeds from 60 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Fiber-to-the-Curb (FTTC) offers a faster intermediate fiber/copper service appropriate for both greenfield and existing infrastructures. Deployable up to 500 feet from the end customer, FTTC enables speeds from 80 Mbps to 100 Mbps. Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) is an ideal competitive offering for new construction and a viable solution for overbuild applications. Offering super high speeds of up to 1 Gbps, FTTP is “the wave of the future” for all-fiber high-speed service delivery.

Optical Network Terminals

Available in both indoor and outdoor installations, the Tellabs® 1600 Series GPON ONTs enable delivery of integrated high-speed services to both residential and business customers. Single-Family Unit (SFU) ONTs provide interfaces for POTS, Gigabit Ethernet and both Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) and Radio Frequency (RF) video. SIP-ready, the SFU ONTs are easily migrated to a softswitch environment. Business ONTs are available in several integrated rack-mount units as well as a modular chassis-based model. Each business ONT supports multiple densities of POTS, Gigabit Ethernet, VDSL2 and T-1 services.
